Went to an MMO panel today....got a PS2 key!!!!

I'm reviving this old thread to find out who is interested in Planetside 2 and if we should be considering getting an outfit started on launch. From my understanding the game will be free to play on launch day, November 20th. You can purchase a founders pack for $40 bucks that will including the following:

Immediate beta access
4000 Station Cash (F2P Currency for their micro transaction shop)
Exclusive title: Founder
Six month 10% XP and Resource Boost
12 weapon unlocks (each class and Empire combination)
Unique Founder's decal
Exclusive camo set for vehicles, armor, and weapons

I had signed up and got my beta invite, but with new job (full-time position with the Boy Scouts of America here in San Diego), my gaming time is SEVERELY limited. Back to part-time status with my World of Tanks Guild ... If it looks really cool, though, and you all get a guild going, let me know and I'll pop in and check it out.

I've heard the gameplay is supposed to be pretty good. I signed up to try and get into the beta, but no invite yet. I'll be trying this game out for sure!

Anyway for us to spawn near one another? Play in same arena?

Not seeing a way to customize controls - I know it's just Beta, but c'mon ...

The controls are customizable. Once in game, hit esc, then look to your lower right and you will find the settings button. From there you can adjust your controls.

As far as spawning, here is the break down. You will basically in three location: Hot drop, Spawn Room, and/or Sunderer. The Hot Drop will allow you to drop into Instant Action locations and Squad Leader if you are in a squad. This will have a 30 minute cooldown so use wisely. Spawn Room are locations nearest you that you faction controls, including your warpgate. Sunderers are mobile deployments that if deployed can be a mobile spawn location. These are best especially for a forward assault on an enemy base.

I just DL'd this weekend. I can run around and get plenty of kills but I'm confused about the gameplay. I know we're supposed to capture territory but it seems like most of the time people just group up at a spawn point and never leave.

Anyways, I'll be available to play here and there. I'd like to know which servers peoples are on, too!
