The one and only Josh Olin rocks out an update about the forthcoming World At War v1.5 PC patch:
I wanted to take the time to go over the Patch 1.5
details with you all. There is no release date yet. This patch is in
test right now and assuming that there aren’t any problems, the
following updates will be made:
PC Patch 1.5:
CO-OP hosts can now kick players from their lobby
Improved dog spawning in MP
Addressed an issue with Zombie pathing
Fixed an instance of the player model displaying incorrectly
Some unhandled exception errors have been addressed
Improved server browser’s refresh functionality when the Source is set to ‘Favorites’
Added support for CODTV
“cg_DrawFPS 1” now only displays FPS and cg ms/frame
Added RCon command "teamstatus" to display players’ team information
Additionally, the following Modding items have been addressed – modders take note:
Mods: Added joinsquad script function
Mods: Players can now join CO-OP lobbies that are hosting map names with more than eighteen characters
Mods: Users can now load custom maps when the usermaps folder contains fifty or more custom maps
Mods: Removed the loading of duplicate assets that contributed to the ‘2048 materials’ error
Mods: Increased the amount of mods displayable in the Mods menu
Mods: Fixed a crash related to the mod.arena file
I’d like to call attention to the CoDTV support – we’ve been
working closely with Garetjax, the creator of CoDTV.tv over the past
few months. It is important to note: we did not create or integrate
CoDTV into Call of Duty: World at War; rather, we implemented the
necessary support functionality into the game client for his CoDTV
program to function.
Finally, we are continuing to work on support for Map Pack 2 on the
PC. I have no specific information to provide on this yet, but I will
update the community when there are more details.
There have been many questions about EVE. Some Geezers have even jumped to playing it more than games we support with servers and others play it as a break from the norm. A diversion or side interest, if you will.
It might not be your cup of tea, but since some or our Geezer members, yours truly included, have gotten involved with it, I thought it would be a good idea to go into a little detail on the subject.
It started with one of our Geezers, Gunner, getting involved with it and he led a few of us into the game. He started a "Corporation" in EVE and it is the Geezer Gaming Corp. Then it led to our Corporation joining an Alliance which is the "Infused Alliance". A benefit to this in EVE itself is the old saying, "Strength in Numbers". Believe me, some of the missions we do require lots of ships and lots of firepower.
A side benefit to joining an Alliance such as INFUSED is, some of those players are asking questions about Geezer Gaming here! Already we have seen interest from some of them in regards to joining our great community at Geezer Gaming and a couple already have or are in the process. Hopefully, this trend will continue with great success.
That's were we as Geezers stand at present. IF anyone is interested in trying it out, contact one of your fellow Geezers that is already playing it. They can send you a 21 day free trial which helps them with playing time and helps the corporation. The standard free trial is only 14 days.
Here is an excellent video from Arcitec at Lost Connection.

Call of Duty: World at WarMap Pack 2 continues to expand the addictive COD multiplayer experience with four new maps. Battle to control the river bridge in “Banzai” a bright jungle map featuring a waterfall and hidden caves. In “Corrosion” face down your enemy in a shattered train yard, and in “Sub Pens” wipe the monsoon rain from your eyes as you struggle over a bombed-out submarine base. The Zombies return in “Shi No Numa” (Zombie Swamp) featuring Perk machines, the deadly new Wunderwaffe DG-2, new Achievements/Trophies and flaming Hell Hounds.
In "Corrosion" face down your enemy in a deteriorated Russian train yard. Sprint under, over and through the shattered pipelines and war-torn train cars in this mid sized map great for full out team combat. Keep your head on a swivel as your enemy could be above or below you!
Deep in the jungles of Japanese controlled territory, battle to control the tall river bridge in "Banzai" a bright, medium sized jungle map featuring a waterfall, villages and hidden caves well suited for deadly snipers, surprise attacks and all out gun battles.
Keep moving to survive the unending Zombie horde in "Shi No Numa", the all new addition to the four player co-op fan favorite. Imperial Zombies rise from the misty swamps and flaming Hell Hounds blaze through the jungle as players struggle to find Perk machines and the deadly new Wunderwaffe DG-2 to stay alive. This new map includes 10 new Achievements/Trophies.
"Sub Pens" offers a close-quarter bombed-out Japanese submarine base littered with live ammunition, breached subs and idle fighter planes. Wipe the monsoon rains from your eyes and struggle to control key choke points in this tight map designed for exciting and deadly battles.

The Strogg have at last located a source of the mineral steedium, which is required to power their large weaponry such as the fabled Big Gun. GDF have located and secured this mine along with a Big Gun. Strogg must activate this gun at once to take out nearby GDF defences. To do this they must break into the mine through an ice sheet on the surface, deploy a mining laser to access the steedium storage vault and finally take three crates of steedium to the Big Gun to activate and deploy it, obliterating the puny human food.
